It is the result of a genuine religious cultural manifestation, in its origins, of la Comunitat Valenciana.

They are made up of individual pieces of tiles. These tiles refer to some images that were placed on the facades of some houses of our villa.

This tradition begins, according to scholars, about 1750. Some of the ceramic panels of the locality are from the end of the s. XVIII. There has always been a lot of devotion in our city for some saints. Some neighbors made promises because family members improved from some illness, or that misfortunes did not come at home, or other requests. If this was fulfilled, then, they placed these tiles with the image of the saint to whom they had made the promise in gratitude. Our city has over forty images of this type, which is still keeping in good condition.
